FCI Warriors Sweep ATL AAU Super Regional; Remain Undefeated

FCI Warriors pose with Gold medals after winning Atlanta AAU Super Regional
The FCI Warriors went 5-0 this past weekend in route to winning the Championship at the Atlanta AAU Super Regional, hosted by PQ Sports. The Championship secured a bid for the Warriors to compete in the 17U AAU National Tournament (Division I) to be held this July in Orlando.

The FCI offense was hitting on all cylinders throughout the weekend as the team averaged 82 points per game while winning by an average margin of 21 points. The only tightly contested game was in the Championship, where the Warriors matched up with a tough Georgia Slam team.
The game was a back and forth affair for most of the first three quarters. However, FCI opened up a double digit lead in the 4th quarter and eventually prevailed 77-68.

The team received excellent contributions from a number of different players throughout the weekend. Richard Kelly (6' 5, Wing, Douglas County High; 2012) once again had a  big performance as he scored 21.5 ppg on a blistering 67% shooting percentage from the field. Jeremy Presley (5' 10, PG, Harrison, 2012) had another good weekend as he averaged 17 ppg and dished out 9 assists (compared to zero turnovers). Presley had a huge showing in the semi-final game where he scored 21 points and hit six three point field goals in the 1st half of action.

Subby Adetujoye (6' 5, Wing, Harrison, 2012) demonstrated his excellent athleticism on both ends of the floor and had a good all-around tournament averaging 10 ppg, 5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game. Vantrail Commings (6' 4, Wing, Douglas County, 2012) , Charles Pack (5' 11, PG, Centennial. 2012) and Fineto Lunguana (6' 2, CG, West Forsyth, 2012) also played well for the now 9-0 Warriors.

Next up for the team is the Wallace Prather Memorial Classic being played this weekend in Atlanta. The event promises to be very competitive as many of the top 17U teams across the South will be in attendance. Go Warriors!
