In a hotly contested game, the FCI (Faith, Courage, Integrity) Warriors got by the Atlanta Hoyas 74-70. It was the first ever game and first ever win for the Warriors who have kids from all over Metro Atlanta and will play a combination of AAU and exposure events. “It was our first game of the season, so we have alot to work on,” said Warriors head coach William Lopresti. “It was a battle out there and we were fortunate to get the win.”

A Jordan Nelson three-point gave the Warriors a 64-61 lead with 3:52 left to play. Later, free throws by Nelson and Jeffrey Nobles helped seal the Warriors win. “I’m proud of my guys; the only problem was we didn’t make our free throws." said Hoyas Coach Xavier Weems. Nelson led the Warriors with 17 points and showed bounce as he attacked the glass and rim all game. Dinesh Brown had 18 points and looked good running the show for the Gwinnett County based Hoyas, while teammate Chris Donaldson finished some tough drives to the basket and chipped in with 16.
